MONET Engages Elementary Students with Hands-On Soccer Ball Science
MONET's Director of Innovation Outreach Diversity and Education (DIODE), Dr. Vanessa Rosa, led an engaging hands-on science activity for 60 students at Section Elementary School's High-Interest Day on May 22, 2024. Through interactive experiments and teamwork, students discovered the materials science behind soccer balls, fostering curiosity and scientific thinking.

For more than 125 years, a public school has sat prominently at this rural intersection, while educating Town of Mukwonago children. In the 19th century, as today, area residents placed great emphasis on education, as did the federal government. In fact, the financial returns generated through the original sale of federal lands in Section 16 of each township helped to subsidize the local public school system.
