Cultivating Diversity Across Career Levels
Our initiatives span the career levels of chemists involved with our center, demonstrating a strong, longitudinal commitment to diversity. In our Year 3 URE program, 70% of participants were from underrepresented minorities, with 50% having limited research experience or financial need. This commitment extends to our postdoctoral level, where our MOSAIC Fellowship Program provides supplementary funding to underrepresented minority postdocs. Our efforts have resulted in successful outcomes, with 66.7% (4 out of 6) of our 2023 URE participants identifying as underrepresented minorities in STEM.
