Quite simply, it takes collaboration across multiple areas of chemical expertise to redefine what polymers can be. In NSF MONET, we work together to improve the benefits provided by polymeric materials while simultaneously reducing their negative impact on the environment.
Working as a team not only allows us to create the chemistry of the future but also allows us to develop the chemical workforce of the future in ways we simply couldn't as individual labs.
MULTI-LAB COLLABORATIONS
As a Center for Chemical Innovation, NSF MONET seeks to rewrite the performance and end-of-life rules of polymer network-based materials.
We focus on innovative solutions to big societal problems that require the collaboration of leading investigators nationwide.
Our efforts span three research thrusts:
1. Chemistry of the Network Strand,
2. Chemistry of the Network Junction, and
3. The Science of Polymer Chemistry Data.
